Way out South there was this Troupe… Troupe I wanna tell ya about. Troupe by the name of The Lollie Bombs.
At least that was the handle their loving fans gave them, but they never had much use for it themselves. The Lollie Bombs, they called themselves The Lollies. Now, Lollies – that’s a name no one would self-apply where I come from. But then there was a lot about the Lollies that didn’t make a whole lot of sense.
Now this here story I’m about to unfold took place back in the early ’90s – I only mention it because sometimes there’s a Troupe… I won’t say a hero, ’cause, what’s a hero? But sometimes, there’s a Troupe. And I’m talkin’ about the Lollies here. Sometimes, there’s a Troupe, well, they’re the Troupe for their time and place. They fit right in there. And that’s the Lollies, in Dallas.
